When you book your hiking holiday through VesterhavsCaminoen, you are automatically covered by the Travel Guarantee Fund (Rejse Garanti Fonden). We are registered with travel guarantee number 3330.
What is the Travel Guarantee Fund?
The Travel Guarantee Fund is a private, independent institution that provides assistance to customers in the event of a travel provider’s bankruptcy, including package holidays. This means that you are guaranteed compensation for your trip if the travel provider goes bankrupt.
VesterhavsCaminoen sells ready-made hiking holidays, which are categorized as package holidays. A package holiday consists of a minimum of two of the following services:
- Transport (e.g., plane, bus, train, ferry, etc.)
- Accommodation (e.g., hotel, hostel, holiday home, camping cabin, etc.)
- Tourist service (the key factor is that it is significant in relation to the overall product, where it is combined with one of the three others)
- Car rental (e.g., car, motorhome, large motorcycle, or other motor vehicles)
