DAY 1: LILD STRAND – KLIM STRAND

Your hiking holiday begins in the morning with our partner Kreativitetshuset – an atmospheric gathering place for creative souls with an open workshop and changing course activities. Here, the journey starts in peaceful surroundings before you set out on the day’s stage through one of Jammerbugten’s most captivating natural areas.
After just a few kilometers of hiking, you reach Bulbjerg – Jutland’s only bird cliff. This protected area can be experienced via trails and viewpoints, where you are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the sea and the dramatic cliffs.
Along the way, you pass Thorup Strand, where the iconic blue fishing boats are still pulled ashore daily – just as they have been for generations. Here, you experience a living coastal culture and an active fishing village that gives the journey a truly special authenticity.
In the afternoon, you arrive at First Camp Klim Strand, where you can unwind after the day’s hike. Comfortable surroundings close to nature await – ideal for relaxation, dinner, and a quiet evening with the sound of the sea in the background before the next day’s stage calls.

DAY 2: KLIM STRAND - SLETTESTRAND
- Distance: 19 kilometer
- Overnight stay: Rønnes Hotel
After a wonderful overnight stay, the hike continues along the coast. Later, you reach the Svinkløv area – a striking and dramatic landscape shaped during the Ice Age, where enormous masses of ice pressed soil and limestone together, leaving deep fissures and ravines in the terrain.
In the area, you will also find bunkers from World War II, built as part of the Atlantic Wall, which today stand as silent witnesses to another time.
The journey continues through Faldet – a lush gorge in Svinkløv Plantation with deciduous forest and a small stream at the bottom.
In the afternoon, you arrive at Rønnes Hotel, where there is plenty of space and a short distance to the water. Here, you can round off the day with a game of mini golf or enjoy a drink on the terrace as the evening settles in.

DAY 3: SLETTESTRAND

- Pick-up: Rønnes Hotel
On the final day of the hiking holiday, you can enjoy a calm morning in Slettestrand. Take a relaxing walk along the wide beach, feel the fresh sea air from the North Sea, or challenge yourself with a cozy game of mini golf.
If you wish, you can also take a walk in the forest behind Slettestrand or head up over the moraine hill, where you can enjoy the beautiful view and visit Rakugalleriet or stop by Galleri Lien. Along the way, you can have a cup of coffee at one of the local cafés or simply relax and enjoy the special tranquility the area is known for.
The hiking holiday ends at Rønnes Hotel, where our minibus will pick you up at 11:30 AM and take you back to the starting point in Lild Strand. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes, and you are, of course, welcome to bring drinks.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL
The terrain is predominantly easy to walk on, but the soft dunes create a natural variation in the landscape and offer both beautiful views and shelter from the wind. The beach in the area can be relatively soft to walk on, so it may be beneficial to vary your route along the way.
THE TERRAIN
The stretch between Lild Strand and Slettestrand offers great variation in both terrain and surroundings. The route takes you through wide sandy beaches, open dune landscapes, and plantations, where the trails wind between pine trees and marram grass.
FOOD ON THE TOUR
A good start to the day is important, which is why breakfast at the accommodations is included in your hiking holiday. Lunch and dinner are up to you along the way, giving you the freedom to eat where and when it suits you best. To make it easy, we have prepared a food guide that gives you an overview of the best places to eat along the route from Lild Strand to Slettestrand.
